The HRTS Board of Directors is pleased to announce the adoption of the new HRTS Charitable Giving program. Each year the elected HRTS President will be allowed to choose a local non-profit organization to be the beneficiary of the support of HRTS, both financially as well as through ongoing promotion and participation opportunities. This year’s beneficiary is My Friend’s Place, a provider of support services for homeless youth in Hollywood.
The mission of My Friend’s Place is to assist and inspire homeless youth to build self-sufficient lives. Founded in 1988, My Friend’s Place is a nonprofit Resource Center offering a comprehensive continuum of care that includes free emergency resources such as food and clothing in combination with health, educational, and therapeutic services to over 1,800 homeless youth and their children each year.
At the 2010 Network Chiefs luncheon, HRTS presents My Friend’s Place with a check for $15,000.
