What annoys this TV viewer

I would prefer not seeing a movie at all rather than having it censored. Inserting faux words for the original profanity is self-defeating as the viewer will automatically figure out or substitute another profanity. Either way it distracts from the story. A "bleep" is just as bad.

Just don't screen the goddamn thing if you can't screen it in its entirety.

What’s with this banner that fills the lower quarter of my television screen during newscasts? Do I really need to have the words BREAKING NEWS crowding my screen and obscuring the camera work of some poor wretch up in a helicopter circling over a 7/11 in Simi Valley? A key part of a story may be under that stupid banner and viewers will never see it. Suggestion: mandate that the news photographers hold their fingers over the lower half of their lenses while shooting. The director will never know the difference and the viewer will get the whole story.
